The Gunnison Conservation District works to conserve and enhance the natural resources of the upper Gunnison Basin, one of Colorado's most distinctive high-elevation landscapes. In partnership with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and a broad network of local, state, and federal partners, we support agricultural producers and private landowners in protecting working lands, restoring wet meadows and streams, and sustaining habitat for species of concern, including the Gunnison sage-grouse.
